A now defunct subscription based match making service for computer games. Their largest profile game was the very popular Duke Nukem 3D. They started in 1996 just as the Internet boom was starting, but became obsolete when free services like GameSpy came out. The interface was a little difficult to maneuver around, their latency was sometimes horrible, and worst of all: you had to pay for it. In 1999 I believe, Total Entertainment Network (TEN for short) turned into pogo.com, where they now offer java based card games and slot machines and all that other non-computer-game related game stuff. As a one time subscriber, it was great to log on and play Duke Nukem 3D with other people, but once my friends got computers (and we went to a couple of LANs) it became totally pointless.
