A type of pasta originating from Bologna.

Tortellini are small parcels of pasta usually containing Mortadella, Beef, Pork and Parmigiano. They are traditionally served in a broth, in Italy this is called Tortellini al Brodo.

Nowadays you can find many more modern varieties of tortellini, with different fillings. Some of these are suitable for vegetarians.
These types are often served with a tomato or cream sauce rather than the traditional broth.
