A band, yes. Leftists, of sorts. Led by singer/bassist Tom Robinson (you were expecting Emil Hladka?). Formed after TR's disastrous stint signed to Ray Davies' label. They had a hit with "2-4-6-8 Motorway", back in 1978. And a ditty called "Glad To Be Gay", which was probably why Real Man Jake Riviera chose not to sign TRB to Stiff Records (they ended up at EMI). Robinson left a couple of years later, to form the less-rockocentric Sector 27. Occasional TR co-writer: Peter Gabriel.
