Danish director. One of the
Dogme Brothers. Born
1969.
His
graduation project from Den Danske Filmskole (The Danish Movie School), "Last Round" (1993), won first prizes in
festivals in
Munich and
Tel Aviv, before it got
Oscar nominated in
1994. The same year he directed "Slaget på tasken" for DR TV (Danish TV channel). His
short movie "Drengen der gik baglæns" (1994) -
produced by Nimbus Film - got the prizes raining over him at Nordisk Panorama in
Reykjavik, in Clermont-Ferrand and
Toronto. His
greatest success is however undoubtedly
Festen from
1998.
