The road is a siren's song

it whispers to you

a persistent invitation

Let's go.

Are you not familar with it ?

Have you not heard the voice,

just before dawn, as the sun pushes back the horizon

Have you driven the same streets, the same roads

never contemplating a different direction?

Are their no maps in your head?   No daydream detour?

The road is patient,  but it is a door that closes

What it offers,  it offers for only a few moments.

One day every road will look like a wall
