The Young Lords Party. A Nuyorican activist group, founded 1969 in NYC. The civil rights and Black Power (e.g. The Black Panthers) movements begat new venues of dissent, from post-Stonewall gay activism to Cesar Chavez's work with Latino farm&workers to the American Indian Movement. The YLP was Yet Another. Some alumni: noted writer Pablo "Yoruba" Guzman; the group's lawyer, Geraldo Rivera, who won a local TV-news gig - not to be outdone, a rival station hired Felipe Luciano, a YLP leader.
