Irish punk/
power pop combo from the late
1970s who inexplicably never hit it big. The
band chronicled
adolescent highs and lows in infectious numbers like "Teenage Kicks" and "Girls Don't Like It". The lineup consisted of:
- John J O'Neill - guitar
- Damian O'Neill - guitar
- Feargal Sharkey - vocals
- Michael Bradley - bass
- Billy (W.E.M.) Doherty - drums
After the band split up in 1983, Sharkey went solo while his bandmates formed That Petrol Emotion. If you like the Ramones or Green Day it would probably be worth your while to check out the Undertones on CD.
