Upon seeing me again
You saw potential for us
That you soon forgot.

In my bed each morning you forgot,
How you loved me the drunken night before,
When I heard you speak without fear of judgment.

When you dwelled upon your hobby,
You forgot that you already had me,
And that your collaborators were mere diversions.

When you could not see me,
And you cried from other pains,
You forgot that my shoulder wasn't far away.

And unless I persist,
With the faith I have in us,
I too you soon might forget.
