The Power of Purpose awards is an international essay competition sponsored by the John Templeton Foundation, with a grand prize of $100,000 and 18 other prizes comprising an additional $400,000. The stated goal is to find "compelling essays to illuminate the importance of purpose and its role in our lives." They suggest various ways of addressing this admittedly vague theme, such as Personal Reflection and Fiction.
