The Newmusic is a
television show produced by
MuchMusic and carried on both
MuchMusic and
City Television (and possibly some
American stations that I do not know of). It is hosted by
MuchMusic VJ George Stromboulopoulis, and deals with the topic of
cutting-edge and
modern music.
It usually focuses on electronic and hip-hop, tending to avoid "pop" music like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and other such groups. It generally contains interviews with people tightly linked the the music industry.
It is an innovative show, as the interveiws do not take place in a studio, but rather on the streets of Toronto or the artist in question's home town.
It is definately worth watching for anyone interested in the constantly changing scene of modern music.
