Swedish industrial band (original name in
Swedish:
Lädernunnan)
Started in Gothenburg 1979 by Jonas Almquist (vocals), Bengt Aronsson (Guitar), Freddie Wadling (Bass), and Gert Claesson (Drums). Wadling left the band in 1982 to form Blue For Two.
The music of the nuns, heavily influenced by the Velvet Underground, earned them a loyal group of followers, especially in the U.S.
Their latest album was released in 1991 and there have been rumours about a comeback album, but nothing has been recorded as far as I know.
