What do 1,933 users mean?
The population of Bangor, Michigan in 2000.
The population of Albion, Illinois in 2000.
The population of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota in 2000.
The population of Browns Lake, Winconsin in 2000.
The census was completed by counting the number of distinct users on all the published Everything people registries. Where possible I have tried to avoid double-counting users whose peripatetic lifestyles have led them to have entries over several registries, but the complicated nature of people's lives makes it impossible to guarantee that such errors haven't occured. It is also inevitable that there are active users who were not counted because their relevant Everything People Registry profiles were not updated. Since it is also not practical to avoid counting people in the Registry who have left us through disinterest or death, I have included both active and inactive users. This is the same methodology I used in the previous Census
Some rises can be attributed to some People Registry editors being more attentive this year (otherwise I cannot work out Manitoba and Ontario's explosive growth). Population growth in the United States was marginal, with a solid rise in California accompanying losses in Maryland (probably caused by several graduates at the University of Maryland moving along in their lives). Finland and Norway continue to be the leading noding countries outside the Anglosphere (Finland's statistics remain difficult to verify or probe). Britain, particuarly England, experienced robust growth, while other countries with significant E2 communities like Australia, New Zealand and Ireland saw little change. Conversely we can see activity in the emerging countries of Poland and China.
While we may have lost our single representatives in Hungary and Mauritius, we can welcome Everythingians in Turkey and Iraq! At least they will have interesting stuff to write about....
