One morning as I was brushing my teeth, I noticed two points of acute pain on my head. Pausing briefly, only to shake my head in bewilderment, I resumed my dental activities. But then the pain became too great. Letting the toothbrush fall from my quivering hand, I let out a scream never before heard by the likes of man. I put my hands up to my throbbing head and felt two sharp protrusions, about a half an inch tall. Not believing what I had felt, I let my hands fall to my sides. Then I saw: my hands were covered in blood. I quickly looked up at the mirror. Blood was trickling down my head. The crimson stream began at the protrusions, which had grown considerably, and which I now knew to be horns. I stumbled back in horror. I had two horns growing on the sides of my head. Silently, I laid down on the bathroom floor and curled up into a ball.
