Texas-born rapper, The. D.O.C. was found by
Dr. Dre of the
N.W.A. and was instantly signed to Ruthless Records. Released an excellent album,
No One Can Do It Better, in
1989. Unfortunately after releasing this album, The. D.O.C. got into a serious
car accident which almost killed him. The crash damaged his
throat so bad that his voice was almost totally lost, and his post-crash album,
Helter Skelter (1996), failed to earn a large audience. So far this has been his last album and probably will remain as such.
