Located in Lubbock, Texas, Texas Tech University, has a student body population of over 25,000. Tech is the home of many different traditions, such as "wrapping Will Rogers," and making fun of the real traditions of Texas A&M, and never letting anyone forget that they tore down one goal post after a game that really wasn't that important in the first place.

There are several spirit organizations on the Tech campus. The Goin' Band From Raiderland, Saddle Tramps, High Riders, and many others all contribute to what should be great school spirit, but usually fall short of their intended task.

Texas Tech's sports teams were originally known as the Matadors, but was eventually changed to the Red Raiders. Tech's mascot is a Yosemite Sam-looking character known as Raider Red. Another well-known symbol of their athletic teams is the masked rider.
