A
Testosterone Brigade is a humorous name for
online fan clubs of
female science fiction actors created by or mostly for
men. These brigade names are considered to be an offshoot or parody of the
Estrogen Brigade phenomenon. They are often
preceeded by the name of the actor in question, and are enjoyed by
fans across the spectrum, ranging from the
fanatical stalker to the
casual appreciator, with everything in
between.
The brigades are commonly abbreviated using the actor's initials follwed by the letters TB.
A more common variant of the Testosterone brigade type of fan club is the Estrogen Brigade, abbreviated in the same manner as above but with EB instead.
