Place:  Any gas station anywhere, 

just to the right of the cash register

What:  A glass jar filled with small copper coins

disregarded

neglected

left by strangers 

for strangers 

set on the counter for the 

anxious, the impoverished and the 

math impaired 

She called it a 

lower case banking system,

Share and share alike  

Generous to a fault 

she was, 

for a while.
