Tabling

Tabling is a great way to promote a student group or other club on your university's campus. You'll probably need a permit from your student activities office to be legal, and you should have the following for the actual table:

• A table
• A large, attention-grabbing sign
• Pamphlets of the "take one" variety
• Additional reading (magazines/books)
• A chair or your favorite piece of sitting technology
• Homework (it can get slow when class is not in session)
• More volunteers (if possible)

The idea is to find a heavily-populated area of the campus and sit there. It's an easy, low-maintenance way of getting your activity/organization some attention and publicity.
