Tabling is a great way to promote a student group or other club on your university's campus. You'll probably need a permit from your student activities office to be legal, and you should have the following for the actual table:

The idea is to find a heavily-populated area of the campus and sit there. It's an easy, low-maintenance way of getting your activity/organization some attention and publicity.
