Usually
referred to as
SAMA, this is the one
chance for
Swedish electronic music artists to win musical
awards. Held
annually at
Kåren,
Göteborg in the beginning of April. Was called
Swedish Electronic Music Awards (
SEMA) until it was
renamed at the end of 1999. As of 2003 SAMA is an
acronym for
Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards, in other words the name has been changed yet another time to
include an even greater number of artists.
