Type of headphones made by Sony. The band loops around the back of the neck instead of over the top of the head. Supposedly, this feels better with hats and doesn't mess up your hair. Rubber braces that go behind the ear are used to keep the earpieces in place. These tend to push against the ear and make the headphones uncomfortable for long periods of use. The speakers used are often sub-par compared to good traditional headphones. Overall, an exercise in style over substance.

Other manufacturers make headphones in the same style, but the name is a registered trademark of Sony.
