Finnish metal band whose music can nowadays most accurately be described as power metal. The band was founded in 1984, the first line-up consisted of drummer and vocalist Tuomo Lassila, bass player John Vihervä and guitarist Staffan Stråhlman. In the early days the music was very different from that of today. The group has gone through a total change too: Timo Tolkki does the guitar work now, Timo Kotipelto sings the vocals, Jari Kainulainen plays bass, Jens Johansson the keyboards and Jörg Michael drums. The band released its 8th album in the beginning of 2000 and is growing more and more popular, especially in Europe and Japan.
