St. Louis Style Pizza

St. Louis style pizza is roughly defined as thin and crispy crust pizza usually made from provel cheese. Although the style existed before, Imo's Pizza is credited as the pioneer of the style. St. Louis style pizza is often cut into square sections, as opposed to the triangular shape created by long cuts through the center. Pizzerias that serve St. Louis style pizza generally do not serve other types of pizza, such as Chicago style or New York style pizza.

Tombstone pizza or other frozen pizza, although thin crust, are NOT St. Louis style pizza, unless they were made as St. Louis style pizzas and then frozen.
