You will need:
One cigarette
One cigarette packet
One (preferably cheap and old) lighter
One group of friends or strangers you
want to impress
Here's what you have to do:
1. Hold the lighter above the packet, and make as if to light it. Stop before your thumb presses the gas. You want to obtain all the little pieces of flint which will fall out.
2. Tap the side of the lighter occasionally.
3. Repeat until you have a fair dusting of flint on the packet, or until your thumb goes numb.
4. Moisten your index finger (lick it), and then wipe the spittle on the cigarette.
5. Roll the moistened strip of the cigarette in the flint, being careful not to bend it too much. I advise you to put most of the flint at the start of the cigarette, as this is when your audience will be paying attention.
6. Light the cigarette. Don't worry - it's not dangerous. Listen to the oohs and aahs from the crowd, and feel yourself becoming more popular.
