A city, which, ironically, is in northern Indiana on the MI/IN border and has over 100,000 population. University of Notre Dame is closeby.

A city so-named because it was founded on the southernmost bend of the Saint Joseph River (one of the few rivers in the world that flows north). Places of note within South Bend include the Morris Civic Auditorium, the Century Center, the College Football Hall of Fame (must...resist...laughter), and Eby's Meat Market (located on the corner of Mayflower Rd. and Grant Rd.; been around forever).

South Bend is a serviceable enough city, but notoriously lacking a night-life, or for that matter, a day-life. Some very nice countryside around it, though. Definitely a hometown, even if you're not from there.
