Often mistaken for Tracy Chapman, Sonya Jevette has fast become a pearl of the Dallas music scene. Daring, inventive, dependable and consistent, her talent lights up any stage. With merely a guitar and occasional percussion accompaniment, she can turn the most tired venue into a party in seconds, purely by her charm, wit, and natural love for life.

Her music style is a combination of folk, jazz and blues. Jevette has a fire in her belly, a twinkle in her eye, a drunk pixie strumming on her vocal chords and song in her heart. It's just her and the guitar facing the world. She's amazing. Tender Roni Baby and I'm Not Tracy are two of my personal favorites from her repertoire.
