The Solent is an area of water off the south coast of England between Southampton and the Isle of Wight particularly famous for its popularity as a destination for weekend yachtsmen, the Solent also hosts the world's only offshore cricket match. Every June at low tide two teams arrive on bramble bank, which is a large drying sand bank and a hazard to shipping when it's not being used as a wicket. Only 10 overs are played as that is all the time of the tide will allow, but it is usually a popular spectator sport rivalled only by the Salcombe Mud Race.
