In 1973 Kinky Friedman released his first album, Sold American, backed by his band The Texas Jewboys. Running the gamut from anti-war protest (We Reserve the Right to Refuse Service to You), to religious commentary (High On Jesus), and humorous misogyny (Get You Biscuits in the Oven and Your Buns in the Bed), Kinky mixes traditional country arrangements with his unique wit.
