Just a little poem I wrote this evening. I actually composed it in my head at work.

Snowflakes

When someone asks me what change can be wrought by one vote,
Or one kind word,
Or one person,

I may say that a vote can save a nation,
A kind word can change a life,
And a person just might change the world.

But inside,
I think of snowflakes.

A snowflake is next to nothing.
My breath can melt them;
A child's hand crushes them by the thousands;
They have no hope alone.

But when enough snowflakes unite with one goal,
They can crush a town like so much kindling,
Paralyze a city,
End the reign of the Dinosaur,
Save Russia from the Nazis,
Or sink the greatest ship ever built.
