Eldest child of Tar-Elendil, the fourth king of the Númenoreans. Because the laws of Númenor at the time she lived did not allow for a woman to take the Scepter, she did not become Queen. However, she founded an honorable royal lineage: that of the Lords of Andúnië, who were also of the line of Elros. The Lords of Andúnië were later highly respected and influential in the affairs of the kingdom, even when they disputed with Sauron in the time of Ar-Pharazôn. Her most famous descendants were Elendil, Isildur, and Aragorn.
