Old Man of the Desert, according to Fremen fable in Frank Herbert's Dune epic. Divine personification of the desert ecosystem but also of the sandworms unique to it.

Religious term used by Fremen in Frank Herbert's Dune to refer to the sandworms. At times it meant either God or Satan (or the Fremen equivalent of these beings), depending upon its usage.
