Ses`qui*sul"phide (?), n. [Sesqui- + sulphide.] Chem.

A sulphide, analogous to a sesquioxide, containing three atoms of sulphur to two of the other ingredient; -- formerly called also sesquisulphuret; as, orpiment, As2S3 is arsenic sesquisulphide.
