Scott Cunningham (1956 - 1993) is the author of over 30 books, both fiction and non-fiction, with 16 of them focusing on Paganism and magic. He also wrote pulp novels and commercial articles.

Many of these books have been an inspiration in the lives of many people, while others are helpful guides helping solitary pagans with techniques, and some both. These books have been published in 11 languages, and spread all over the globe.

He lived and worked in San Diego, until he died of AIDS. He began practicing Wicca when he was 15, learning much about herbs and magic as time passed. He taught courses on Wicca and magic from 1980 to 1993. During these years he received all three degrees of the Reorganized Traditional Gwythonic Order of the Wicca and the Ancient Pictish Gaelic Way and served as coven high priest.
