Only Beck would be twisted enough to release a muzak version of his own work. Saxx Laws (Night Flight to Ojai) is a complete reworking of Beck's hit single Sexx Laws in the style of Kenny G or the music you hear during the Weather Channel local forecast.
The song starts out with a soft thunderclap and the sound of rain, then the saxx comes in improvising on Beck's vocal line. The synthesizers do their new age-y synthing, and a fretless bass does its funkless fretless bass-ing.
It ends with the sound of seagulls calling above the surf. Both the intro and the outro are taken straight out of those white noise relaxation tapes found in new age shops.
The song credits tell the rest of the story: The irony at work here just screams Beck Hansen.

Released on the Mixed Bizness single.
