Saatchi & Saatchi are a hugely successful worldwide
advertising and publicity company. Founded in
1970, they came into the UK public eye in 1979 with their massive
Tory election campaign, which convinced the British public to accept government under
Thatcher's Conservative party.
The two brothers, Maurice and Charles, founded the company along with Tim Bell. The company grew, and rapidly spread into the US, Europe and Australasia. In June 2000, the French firm Publicis bought the company for £1.3bn (2b euro).
Their accounts include some of the biggest names in service and manufacturing, including Procter and Gamble, Toyota and Sony.
