Once East Germany's busiest port, this city has seen much of it's business move to Hamburg since the GDR merged with the west.

It is perhaps best known now for an incident in 1992 where neo-Nazi youths attacked and burned a hostel for refugees.

Rostock is located on the northern coast of Germany, in the Bundesland of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
