Rockport is a company that makes walking and casual shoes which are known for their extraordinary comfort. Rockport was founded in 1971 by Saul Katz and his son Bruce, and was acquired by Reebok in 1986.

Rockport has since become a major player in the casual shoe industry, largely because their shoes have "casual attire" style but incorporate the comfort of a walking shoe. GQ magazine (August 1990) reported that President George Bush wears Rockport shoes. Fortune magazine (January 25, 1993) reported that President Clinton preferred Rockport shoes.

Today, Rockport manufactures a wide array of walking and casual shoes for men and women, and has expanded into the apparel and accessories markets. Their homepage is: http://www.rockport.com/
