The Rochester Red Wings are a
baseball team located in
Rochester, NY. The Red Wings are members of the
International League, and are the class
AAA minor league affiliate of the
Baltimore Orioles.
Many players have passed through Rochester on their way to the major leagues, including
Stan Musial, and
Cal Ripken, Jr.
The Red Wings have won the
Governors' Cup in 1939, 1952, 1955, 1956, 1964, 1971, 1974, 1988, 1990, and 1997.
The Red Wings play their home games at
Frontier Field, in the shadow of the
Kodak building, which has been their home
stadium since April 1997.
