A forgotten name, 1992. Rector committed a crime; he was a cop-killer. Head injuries sustained in the incident rendered Rector mentally incompetent,
but he was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death anyway. The governor of the state, running for president, refused to stay the execution - he even left the campaign trail to attend it, for he feared being seen as a "liberal". Rector didn't finish his Last Meal - he thought he could come back and finish it later. Wrong.
