Edited August 19, 2007.

An addendum to the New York City Subway Car Roster, this node will list all subway cars, of these classes and older ones, that have been preserved at various museums, or converted to work-train service. To keep this list manageable, it will not include pre-unification IRT or BMT cars.

As of August 2007, the MTA is scrapping much of its surplus work train equipment, both rider cars and work motors. The older cars are being replaced by recently retired r33 class cars.
