A very early (1995-6) 3D accelerator, the first to be pitched at the gaming market (by Creative Labs and others). Had a dedicated version of Quake (VQuake) which featured the as-then-unheard-of features : bilinear filtering, real particle effects, anti-aliasing. (Proper antialiasing, like your Voodoo 2/3 can't do...)

By modern standards, extremely slow, and due to so much hacking around with the Bios/drivers, about as stable in normal 2d operation as a heron on rollerskates. Runs all Quake-engine games up to Half-Life in GL (but sometimes feels like wading through treacle).
