Ravesafe was started in
Cape Town and
Johannesbug in the early 1990s by a few of the
older ravers who has done and seen it all, and were concerned that many of the younger ravers were doing themselves harm by
indescriminate drug use.
The philosophy of harm reduction recognises that no matter how illegal you make certain lifestyles, people are going to live like that anyway, and they are better off making thier choices with real, accurate information (not propaganda) about the consequences. In other words:
Just say know
If you do drugs, don't let drugs do you.
Ravesafe went quiet in the late 1990s as the founders moved on.
