Makes 2 loaves.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add eggs, water, oil and pumpkin. Stir until blended. Add nuts. Mix well. Pour into two 9x5" loaf pans. Bake 1 hour. Cool slightly and take out of pans to let cool on a rack. This tastes best if you wrap, refrigerate and wait a day to eat it. It keeps well in the refrigerator and can be frozen.

I prefer to mix the powdered items in one bowl. Instead of just cinnamon and nutmeg, I add allspice.
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. allspice
Then, in another mix all the liquids before adding to the powdered bowl. I tend to skip the nuts part, seeing as how I don't like them. Also, if you want to save yourself a world of trouble trying to pry the bread from the loaf pans, try using baker's paper. Be sure to trim the edges lest you want to start a fire
This recipe is really great for parties... And even better for stoners at parties. One party of about 20-25 people (with about 50% of them smoking out), one whole batch (2 loaves) vanished within 10 minutes of pulling them from the oven. Then the next day at the same party, another batch disappeared in 15 minutes. "It's a stoner's delight" -- Jeff. I also made it for Apocalypso NOW! SoCal Noder Gathering XP 2002 Professional Edition. It seemed like people enjoy it. :)
