Full name: Tomoe Souichi. Leader of the
Death Busters, father of
Tomoe Hotaru (aka
Sailor Saturn), and creator of
Mistress Nine. Possessed by an
evil force during a laboratory accident gone awry, he led a double life - at one moment a loving father and all-around nice guy, and the next a demented
mad scientist with one of the more evil cackles in
anime history. He sent the Death Busters to collect heart crystals (sort of a manifestation of the life essence) from pure-hearted people in order to create an evil
Messiah of Silence and destroy the world.
He had a really cool pair of glasses, one lens of which was opaque with this nifty symbol etched into it.
