Princes of Countenance
In
apocalyptic literature, such as the
Ethiopic Book of Enoch, a group of
angels who are privileged to look upon the face of
God. of these,
METATRON is the most important. According to the
Kabbalah, the function of the
Princes of
Countenance is "to
exalt and arrange the
throne in a befitting manner."
