Pickering is a
city in south central
Ontario which is home to
nuclear power plants. One of the plants were closed a few years ago due to the fact that it was old and unsafe although it is apparently going to be reopened.
Protests and
safety and environmental
concerns are
hampering its
progress, although the provincial government is ignoring
public outcry.
Neighbouring the Pickering
nukes is the Darlington
