209. "But then doesn't our understanding reach beyond all examples?"--A very strange expression, and quite a natural one!--

But is that all? Is there not a deeper explanation; or must the understanding of the explanation be deeper?--Well, have I then myself a deeper understanding? Do I have more than I give in the explanation?--But then, from where comes the feeling that I have more?

It is as if I interpret that which reaches beyond every length as not limited in length. (Original German: Ist is, wie wenn ich das nicht Begrentze als Länge deute, die über jede Länge hinausreicht?)
