Phase-Shift Keying or PSK is the parent form of several frequency modulations.

In PSK, the phase of the carrier signal is shifted to represent digital data. It's most commonly used in Wireless equipment (such as IEEE 802.11b) as well as satellite equipment. PSK is popular because it's very robust in the presence of noise.
