Peterlee is a new town in County Durham in the north east of England.
There's almost certainly a whole lot to write about it, but I'm not the one to do so. I spent a summer there, living there Monday to Friday, and returning to Newcastle Upon Tyne for the weekends.
IBM had opened a sub unit of IBM Research at Hursley Park there; I believe they got a tax break for doing so but can't say that for certain.
From what I remember, it was a nice enough place and I have to hope that it still is
