Maryland Executive Order 01.01.1998.13 signed by Governor Parris Glendening declared May 15 Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week around it as Police Week. This order specifies that the United States Flag and the Maryland State Flag be flown at half staff from sunrise to sunset on May 15 to honor the memory of our fallen law enforcement officers who lost their lives
while performing their duty.
