When I was a little girl, my grandfather used to sing songs to me from his childhood. One of the songs I remember most was called Pawpaw Patch. Unfortunately he died before I could memorize all the lyrics, but I have found them and wanted to share them with all of you. It meant a lot to me, and maybe you can share it with your kids and they can carry on the tradition.

Pawpaw Patch
Traditional

Where, oh where, is dear little Susie?
Where, oh where, is dear little Susie?
Where, oh where, is dear little Susie?
Way down yonder in the pawpaw patch.

Chorus:
Picking up pawpaws; put 'em in your pocket.
Picking up pawpaws; put 'em in your pocket.
Picking up pawpaws; put 'em in your pocket.
Way down yonder in the pawpaw patch.

Come on, boys, let's go find her.
Come on, boys, let's go find her.
Come on, boys, let's go find her.
Way down yonder in the pawpaw patch.

Repeat Chorus:
